Since we're already making your home and work environments safer and cleaner, we figured we might as well do the same for the rest of the planet. So, our products are LEEDS-ready. in other words, they complement projects certified for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

Folks designing or constructing "green" buildings will be glad to know our PBA Brand Nylon-6 products are go for "green." They're made from a single monomer called caprolactam (that's goat milk!) and can be recycled seven, eight, nine times (see for yourself). No heavy metals or derivatives. No cadmium, lead, mercury or selenium. It doesn't emit toxic gases, and, of course, its non-porous surface is antibacterial.

And, remember, our Nylon products are structurally reinforced by 100-percent recyclable aluminum and steel.



But that's not all that sets us apart...

Modular Design
Our safety bars are made of modular elements with the following main parts:

  • Rails engineered for strength (extruded, seamless Nylon reinforced with an aluminum core)
  • Moulded Nylon bends
  • Mounting roses (with steel core) fixing roses
  • Nylon straight-wall supports screws, nuts and other innards with anticorrosive coats

The Rail
A seamless Nylon tube reinforced with a high-strength, rust-proof aluminum core.

Nylon tube sizes:

  • Outer diameter 1 7/16" (36)
  • Inner diameter 1 3/16" (30)
  • Thickness 1/8" (3)
  • Inner diameter 15/16" (23,6)

Structural aluminum core sizes:

  • Outer diameter 1 3/16" (30)
  • Inner diameter 15/16" (23,6)

Bend 90°
A moulded Nylon tube with a 1 7/16" (36) outer diameter. Two female threads connect to other components.

Rose for wall mounting (with curved or straight connection)
The collar has a diameter of 3 1/16" (77), a thickness of 9/16" (14,5) and consists of a galvanized-steel flange with 12 holes Ø 1/2" (8,5) covered with colored Nylon. The screw cap snaps on, and the rose connects to other elements with screws M8.

Installation
The hole in the screw cap provides a passageway for drilling the wall and screwing in the plugs. After doing so, position the cover with the hole at the seat made on the rose. Then snap on the cover.


Our Nylon is a high-quality, thermoplastic resin polyamide 6.

Mechanical Properties
Remarkably high mechanical resistance (Sr = 60 N/mm2), rigidity (Ez = 1300 N/mm2), strength (70 N/mm2) and tenacity (25 KJ/mm2) in a wide range of temperatures. Virtually indestructible to usual impact, tensile and bending stress. Exceptional resistance to wear, tear and abrasion.

Thermal Properties
Tests conducted by the Underwriter's Laboratories demonstrate high thermal resistance. So flame retardant it’s classified as self-extinguishing into category UL 94 V-2. Does not generate toxic gases.

Electrical Properties
Strong insulating powers. Resistance to electrical currents confers solid protection against shocks (so grounding is unnecessary). Does not cause electrostatic charges or attract dust.

Chemical Properties
Resistant to weathering. Insensitive to chemical agents like solvents, detergents, disinfectants and caustics. Regular or prolonged contact with acid detergents or scouring materials can deteriorate surface.

Physiological Properties
Meets severe recommendations of the German Health Ministry and current German and American health regulations.

Ecological Properties
Produced without heavy metal derivatives. Free from Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Selenium and their derivatives. Fully recyclable. Depending on local regulations, can be recycled or eliminated with other urban refuse.

Cleaning
Easy to clean with soap and water. Excellent stability to hydrocarbons, oils and fats. Good stability to halogenated hydrocarbons like carbon tetrachloride, frigen and freon. Recommend using disinfectants that contain aldehydes, alcohols and ammoniac/phosphor compounds. Avoid detergents.



High-Strength Aluminum

In accordance with the UNI 9006 regulation, we use aluminum 6060. Its composition consists of 0.4% Silicium, 0.2% Iron, 0.5% Magnesium and 98.9% Aluminum.
